Andrew Barker is of English extraction and lives and works in Hong Kong as a lecturer in Literature. He publishes poetry through Andrew Barker’s Poetry Channel, which currently contains ‘The 19 Lockdown Sonnets’ and ‘The Modern Shakespearean Sonnets’ collections, as well as the Mycroft Poetry Lectures. His previous collections of poetry are Snowblind from my Protective Colouring and Joyce is Not Here: 101 Modern Shakespearean Sonnets. He holds a PhD in American Literature. The villanelle-sequence ‘Everything in Life is Contagious’, taken from his first book of poetry, was performed at the Fringe Theatre as part of The Hong Kong Literary Festival.
